According to Frank Cho’s website and Joe Keatinge’s Twitter, it looks like the two creators are going to be working on a new superhero book named “Brutal.” Cho’s diligently working on it, and the first page of pencils is on his site and it looks great.
He elaborates a little on his site about this:
I’m having a blast with this.
Brutal is a story of a female super being who will assassinate other super-beings, heroes and villains alike, for $500 million. No questions asked. As the body count mounts, what is she doing with all that money?
It’s hyper-violent as hell. Not for the faint of heart. I mean it.
The next 12 months going is shaping up to be a monster year for me. Besides my Marvel commitments and outside work, these books will come out through Image Comics:
1) 50 Girls 50 miniseries will launch in June. (All the art is done. It’s being colored and lettered as we speak.)
2) Guns and Dinos mini-series will launch in the fall of this year.
3) Brutal mini-series will launch sometimes in 2012.
Good news for Keatinge fans besides that, according to his Twitter we can expect a lot more of him in 2011.
Feel free to blame @ErikjLarsen if you see a shit ton of Joe Keatinge comics in the next year.
I think by blame he meant thank, but either way, 2011 just got a bit more exciting for comic fans thanks to a lot of material coming from both Keatinge and Cho.
