New Mutants Go For Blue

Just when you thought it was over, Marvel has released a new X-Men teaser for the upcoming Regenesis relaunch. The teaser gives us an X-Man led New Mutants, featuring the same team of DnA as writers and now featuring David Lopez on art instead of David LaFuente, the current illustrator.

This kind of kills the whole triptych thing, but we had been wondering where New Mutants would end up. We also never quite found out where Astonishing X-Men fits into the mix, but that book has always been fairly disconnected from the rest.

So what books that are still connected to the X-Men haven’t been announced for the whole Regenesis thing? Well, outside of solo books like Wolverine, X-23 or Daken, there’s always X-Factor. Could X-Factor be part of the Gold now? Or is this the last teaser we’re going to get? Or – is there perhaps a new book on the horizon?

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
