I know. I forgot too. But that’s what happens when a film is a decade late.
The trailer above is your first look at Sin City: A Dame to Kill For adapting the second book in Frank Miller’s series and jointly directed by Miller and Rodriguez. Featuring the return of players like Alba, Willis, Dawson and Rorke from the original film, the movie is joined by acting talent like Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ray Liotta and Christopher Meloni, as well as probably other people. It takes, like, a lot of people to make a film, you know.
Of course, interest in the film is at an all time low due to the fact that it has taken ten years to come out and Clive Owen was replaced Josh Brolin (who should only be replacing Tommy Lee Jones), but if you were into the first one then you’re probably going to be into this. They look virtually identical, which is to say they look exactly like the comic, which is to say it’s probably going to be a faithful adaptation of the source material — while also being completely unfaithful because it kind of just looks like stuff is going to happen for the sake of stuff happening?
Honestly, I don’t know. But, hey, watch the trailer and make up your own mind about it! That’s your right.
I’ll say this about the trailer, though — I liked the use of “Cells” by the Servant way more than whatever audio onslaught is attacked to this trailer, that’s for sure.
