So, as it turns out, I know less than nothing about Vampirella because I actually had to google her to find out something about her other than how outdated her costume is. Anyway, as it also turns out, Dynamite Entertainment are publishing a new “Vampirella” series starting in June. The information comes from Bleeding Cool and which actual evidence, don’t worry.
The new series will be written by Nancy A. Collins with art from Patrick Berkenkotter. This time, Vampirella will be investigating the disappearance of a young girl on behalf of the Vatican only to discover a secret hidden much deeper and more dangerous. While I don’t have much experience with the character or with much of what Dynamite does, I know the recent Gail Simone-penned reboot of “Red Sonja” was pretty good and that makes me wonder if I should check it out.
