DC announced today a brand new creative team will be taking over the main “Wonder Woman” title this fall. James Robinson (“Earth 2,” “Batman/Deadman”) will be handling the writing duties with Carlo Pagulayan (“Elektra,” “Deathstroke”) and Emanuela Lupacchino (“Superwoman,” “Starfire”) splitting art duties. The book will remain bi-monthly.

In addition to the creative announcement DC also revealed the planned six-month long run will center on Wonder Woman’s long lost sibling Jason, who was hinted at in the New 52 “Justice League: Darkseid War.” The first arc, titled ‘Children of the Gods,’ will set the stage for a face-off with a “cosmic threat” the likes of which Diana has never seen or faced before.

The series will hopefully answer some nagging questions concerning the mysterious wonder-sibling. Like exactly who he is, why he was taken from Themyscira to be hidden far from the gods, and how will he react to the news that his sister is a superhero who regularly does battle with Greek deities?

Some fans were disappointed to learn that Robinson, yet another male writer, will be taking over comics’ most notable female hero. It did not help Robinson is responsible for  “Airboy,” which received a lot of backlash for a transphobic exchange in its second issue.

The news came with a cover for the first issue of the arc by Bryan Hitch (“Batman,” “Ultimates”). The cover features Wonder Woman alongside the villain Giganta, and Grail, the daughter of Darkseid who was introduced in Darkseid War. The new creative team’s first issue will be #31 and hits shelves September 27.
