Today at the Axel-in-Charge panel at New York Comic-Con, Marvel announced that Nick Spencer and Ramon Rosanas will create a new series for Scott Lang, Ant-Man and star of the upcoming summer blockbuster, uh, Ant-Man.
Though not many plot details have sprung up yet about the new series, Spencer talked to ComicBook.com about the new title and emphasized Scott Lang’s underdog nature. The interview noted how Scott Lang is hardly a perfect hero and also how the death of Cassie Lang in “Children’s Crusade” will continue to impact Scott as the series moves on.
Also, Superior Iron Man will show up because, in addition to Kluh, he’s probably going to be the breakout star of “AXIS”.
We at Multiversity Comics are pretty pumped for the new “Ant-Man” series as Rosanas is a very talented artist and Nick Spencer can write some damn funny comics (you may have heard of this “Superior Spidey Foes” book). Honestly, we’re just hoping this series is Marvel’s way of publishing a monthly Paul Rudd book. Let us know what you hope to see from this book in the comments below!
