Back during Emerald City Comic Con, we had the opportunity to attend a rather unique event: the crossing over between two wildly popular podcasts as the characters of the Thrilling Adventure Hour found themselves intertwined with the denizens of Night Vale (you can read more about the event, including an interview with Ben Blacker, here).
Now, come San Diego Comic Con, they’re at it again.
Announced today with ticket sales going on sale soon at Ticketmaster, Thrilling Adventure Hour and Welcoe to Night Vale are going to be teaming up once again on the Saturday of SDCC. Assumedly featuring the same show as in Seattle (there were issues recording it, noted by Ben Acker on a subsequent TAH broadcast), it’s an incredibly fun show for fans of both productions and one that is definitely something worth it to see live.
Not only that, but because it’s San Diego Comic Con and SDCC is all about the cool parties, there will be an after party for the show for VIP ticket holders in the Grand Lobby of the Speckels Theater, which will allow fans to chat and mingle with the cast and crew of the show.
Having seen the first iteration of the show, I can guarantee you that it’s a fun time. It’s an absurd show and a rather hilarious one at that, especially if you have a grudge against the second largest relative natural satellite in the Solar System.

After wild success in Seattle, The Thrilling Adventure Hour & Welcome to Night Vale team up again to bring you an evening of live entertainment during San Diego Comic-Con 2014, on Saturday July 26th at the Spreckels Theater.
Join the WorkJuice Players from your favorite “new-time podcast in the style of old time radio,” Thrilling Adventure Hour, including Marc Evan Jackson, Craig Cackowski, Hal Lublin, and Mark Gagliardi and show creators Ben Blacker & Ben Acker, as well as the crew of the eerie podcast phenomenon, Welcome to Night Vale, including Jeffrey Cranor, Joseph Fink and the voice of Night Vale radio, Cecil Baldwin.
