Revealed today at NYCC, there’s some sort of event type thing coming in January 2015 at Marvel – presumably involving the X-Men – titled “No More Mutants”. Or maybe it’s just the title of the teaser you can see above, as it seems that the Maximoff siblings of Quicksilver and The Scarlet Witch are in the targets of everyone else. That makes sense given that, once upon a time, those words became famous when she uttered those words at the end of “House of M”, eradicating the mutant powers of all but 198 mutants (almost all of whom were particularly commercially viable).
What exactly it will entail is uncertain, but we know it’s coming in January, and Newsarama did confirm through Marvel Group Editor Mike Marts that this does not mean the end of the X-Men. My guess is this is some sort of revenge type gig, but I guess we’ll find out here in a few months, right?
