It looks like the first bit of truly tangible information about the new Batman film has arrived: it’s title.

Over at Hero Complex, Nolan sat down to dish a bit on the film, specifically revealing the title and that the villain will not be the Riddler. That’s two villains now out of the running (with the other being Mr. Freeze), which still leaves Nolan quite a bit of room for casting options (which we assisted in last month). Nolan noted, “We’ll use many of the same characters as we have all along, and we’ll be introducing some new ones.” So that really tells us … nothing.

So what do we know in total now? We know it’s name (which is a bit… eh), we know Tom Hardy is in it, we know it’s filming in New Orleans, and we know who won’t be in the film. Nolan is notorious for being secretive about his projects, which is of course quite fair. Why ruin it for the rest of us when most of his films deal with involved mysteries? So now that we know the title, here’s hoping some more news will pop up soon.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
