Writer Joe Kelly (“Spider-Man/Deadpool”) and artist Chris Bachalo (“Amazing Spider-Man”) are set to put everyone’s favorite wall-crawler through his paces, in the June-debuting series “Non-Stop Spider-Man.” According to a Marvel press release that accompanied the series’s announcement at Portland’s ComicsPRO event, the web-head’s latest ongoing will “combine the pulse-pounding action Spidey is known for with even MORE pulse-pounding action!”

“‘Non-Stop Spider-Man’ is, for me, the best of what Marvel comics can be: relentless action, epic story-telling, mind-melting art, and relevant themes, all grounded by the heart and soul of one of my all-time favorite characters,” said Kelly, in a statement. “Chris and I want to redline your adrenaline and shatter your hearts, giggling the whole time … I truly can’t wait for this.”

Talking about the origins of “Non-Stop,” Kelly said that editor Nick Lowe had a vision for the series – a vision that included Bachalo’s involvement from the very beginning.

“[Nick] has a super-power. He picks up the phone, calls me, and says the exact combination of words that make me want to drop everything and dive head first into the Marvel Universe. Last time it was Spider-Man, Deadpool, Ed McGuinness. No brainer, YES,” said Kelly. “This time it was Spider-Man, Non-Stop, Chris Bachalo. Again, YES … but ‘Non-Stop?'”

Kelly and Bachalo have worked on Spider-Man together before (during the ‘Brand New Day’ era), so “Non-Stop” is not just the creators’ return to Spider-Man, but each other. They’ll be joined by artist David Finch (“New Avengers”), who is providing at least the series’s first cover.
