Time to wipe away those tears, “X-Factor” fans as it’s not over yet. Yes, Jamie Madrox may have closed up shop on X-Factor Investigations, but that doesn’t mean that Peter David is done with team. Announced today, courtesy of CBR and NYCC, Peter David will be returning to the world of X-Factor with artist Carmine Di Giandomenico in “All New X-Factor”. As you might guess, the title will be part of All New Marvel Now and will be launching as soon as January. So that “X-Factor” fix you’ve been looking for is just around the corner.

While I haven’t personally sat down to read any of the previous incarnations of the books (I’ll get there eventually), but what’s interesting to me here is the new team. Led by Polaris, who was a prominent player in the previous “X-Factor” series, the team so far includes Quicksilver (who kind of disappeared for a while?) and Gambit, fresh off his recently cancelled solo series. While that may seem a bit lacking for a team, David assured that over the course of the first six issues another three members of the team will be introduced. So, betting starts now!

Assuring that this “X-Factor” is in fact all new, the team will now be acting on retainer for Serval Industries. Serval was the electronics and weapons manufacturer that was introduced in “X-Factor” #260, which David claimed was the main lead-in to this series from the last. This assures that the team will stand out from the other X-Teams as they will be forced into situations they might not exactly be okay with thanks to Serval Industries.

So, be sure to check out CBR for more information on “All New X-Factor” which launches this January. Also, be sure to keep checking back here for coverage of Marvel’s X-Men panel at NYCC.
