Today at the X-Men Panel at NYCC, it was shared that the next major X-Event will be titled “Age of X.” When this event will take place is uncertain, but they did share a silhouetted image teasing it as well as some choice words from Marvel Sales Manager Arune Singh.
It seems this event will bring “the end of mutants as we know them,” as well as stating that the event will have a similar concept to the occasionally beloved but often maligned “Age of Apocalypse” event from the 90’s. What exactly that means and whether or not we’ll be dealing with a rewritten history of the X-Men like in AoA is uncertain, but you can be sure we’ll be getting you more as we get it.
