At DC’s Superman panel this past weekend at NYCC, Shane Davis revealed the cover for the new Superman Earth One graphic novel, featuring the return of the more familiar underwear-on-the-outside look for the young version of the man of steel. The sequel finds Superman attempting to find his place in the world,

A few pages were shown off featuring Superman saving from a tsunami, and Davis explained that this would cause a problem for Superman as the people he saved were rebels in a foreign country ruled by a dictator, who threatens to kill them if Superman doesn’t stop. It pretty much sounds like an unused plot idea from JMS’ abandoned Grounded arc. Davis also teased that Earth One vol. 2 would feature a much “bigger” version of Parasite, who would be bigger in size than Doomsday (assumedly similar to the growing Parasite of All star Superman).

The book is slated for a Fall 2012 release.

Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
