Jason Aaron and Ron Garney have proved to be a remarkably great team, having previously worked together on the exceptional Wolverine arc “Get Mystique” and on Wolverine: Weapon X. With Renato Guedes taking over art duties on Wolverine, a lot of people wondered what was going to happen next with Garney and if he’d be working with Aaron again.

Your answer came today at the Marvel “Next Big Thing” panel: an “Ultimate Captain America” mini-series that will come in January. CBR shared some notes about the plot:

Jason Aaron and Ron Garney will team up for “Ultimate Captain America” in January. The mini series will focus on a version of Captain America who was established during Vietnam who comes back from being AWOL to show Steve Rogers what he missed about America in the Vietnam era. Aaron said the secret identity of the character was one that would be familiar to Marvel Universe readers.

Which sounds pretty much amazing. Add that to your pulls folks, as anything with Aaron and Garney is definitely worth a purchase.
