NYCC keeps making comics better and better, as today at the con it was announced that writer Rick Remender (Uncanny X-Force, Fear Agent) and artist Gabriel Hardman (Hulk, Atlas) will be taking over Secret Avengers starting with issue #21.1 in 2012. That news in itself would be a joyous announcement (Remender has proven he excels at these types of teams), but there were will also be some changes to the team. Out is Steve Rogers as the leader, in is Hawkeye, with Captain Britain and Giant Man as well. Can I get a hell yes?
Hell yes.
Remender also promised in an interview with Newsarama that his three espionage area books – this, Uncanny X-Force and Venom – will likely interconnect during his run on all three. That, my friends, is spectacular news indeed.
