NYCC: "Scarlet Spider" Ongoing Coming from Yost and Stegman

The Scarlet Spider is returning in his own book – really – come January. Coming from writer Christopher Yost and artist Ryan Stegman, the once Ben Reilly, once villainous, once triplets character is going to be on the run from New York City post Spider Island (Dan Slott’s current story in Amazing Spider-Man). He’ll be headed towards Mexico in the hopes of escaping from whatever haunts him currently.

Whatever the deal is, it’s a solid creative team starring a character whose identity is currently unknown. (Editor’s Note: I’d say, given the last issue of Amazing Spider-Man, that it is probably Kaine. Anyone want to take that bet?) So who knows really. All I have to say to the character is this: watch out for La Flama Blanca. That guy is sketchy and will steal your girl.

Look for more as we get it on this title.
