Even though Sterling Gates and Jamal Igle are in the midst of a critically acclaimed (and well loved by MC) run on Supergirl, DC announced big changes on the book today: Gates and Igle have been replaced by rising star writer Nick Spencer and artist Bernard Chang, starting with what looks like issue #57.
While this is sad for some, I have to say Spencer’s meteoric rise has been very well deserved and getting a book of this magnitude could help push him to an even higher plane. Congrats to Spencer and Chang, and now the question is this: what next for Gates and Igle?
