Today at NYCC, Marvel had a panel highlighting super editors Tom Brevoort and Axel Alonso along with a series of announcements for the con. This panel had some doozies (see the already posted Astonishing Captain America news), and we’ll collect them all here.
– Astonishing X-Men is no longer going to be a Warren Ellis joint, and will now be written by Daniel Way (Deadpool, Wolverine) and illustrated by Jason Pearson
– Fantastic Four #587 will wrap up Jonathan Hickman and Steve Epting’s “3” arc and will be “death bagged” ala Superman #75 – aka the issue in which Superman “died” – that issue will reveal exactly who is dying in the FF
– January will bring Invincible Iron Man back to the original numbering of the Iron Man series, as Matt Fraction and Salvador Larocca’s series will jump up to #500 with that months issue
– It’s unknown as to whether or not Avengers will renumber, but Brevoort suggested if they do, it would go to #600 and it would include all Avengers titles counts into the equation
