Marvel recently announced a new mini-series about a character who gets superpowers and only has 30 days to live and use them. The comic will be released in September with one issue a week, and Marvel has announced that the comic will be released digitally one week after the print issue comes out.
We have only seen one comic released in print and digitally on the same day, with that being the Invincible Iron Man Annual. The only comic to consistently do this on a regular basis is Justice League: Generation Lost, which DC has been putting out in digital and print since June with their app. Marvel has been at the forefront of the digital movement though, and are constantly trying out new things with their iPad and iPhone apps in order to try and figure out what consumers want and what will work well with retailers.
One Month To Live itself boasts an incredibly team to it, with Rick Remender, Stuart Moore, John Ostrander and Andrea Mutti all attached to the title. While no word on how much the digital copy will go for it, we do know the print version of the weekly comic will be $2.99. Keep your eyes open for it coming in September.
