Announced over at DCU’s The Source, it looks like the Freedom Fighter-alumni Phantom Lady is getting her own mini-series in the DCnU alongside Doll Man.

Written by Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti, former writers of the previous DCU’s “Freedom Fighters” book, the 4-issue miniseries sees Phantom Lady and Doll Man returning for a new DCnU version. Illustrated by Cat Staggs and Rich Perotta, the book will be the origin story of both characters and is described as a “gritty crime noir” with heavy sci-fi overtones.

With a cover by Amanda Conner, the first issue is solicited for August 29th.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
