Parallax? Is That Really You?

Ok, so let’s get this out of the way – Warner Bros and DC have all confirmed that Parallax will be a villain (if not the villain, considering some other characters in the film) in the upcoming Green Lantern film. We never covered this as news, but now it seems appropriate.

Why? Because DC has revealed a set of brand new set of toy stills, including what has been confirmed as the “movie version of Parallax.”

So, take a look at that. Hmm. Quite mysterious, no? And not quite so space buggy. If you have MS paint, try filling in that silhouette with yellow, and you might get what he’ll look like on screen. It’s an interesting tease, though. I remember once hearing the film would be Legion (based on the original post-crisis origin), but the inclusion of Parallax is a new move that was probably heralded by Geoff Johns working on the film. And now it appears they want him as a legitimate monster and not … well, you know. The space bug.

While we don’t know what role Parallax will play in the grant scheme of things, it’s neat to have our first teased look.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
