On Twitter this morning, writer Paul Cornell confirmed that the Man of Steel would indeed be returning to Action Comics, the series in which he made his debut back in 1938, sometime in the very near future and that he would indeed be continuing on the book at that point…

Paul_Cornell: I am plotting Action Comics starring Superman.

Paul_Cornell: To be precise, and thank you for your concern, I’m plotting Action Comics starring Superman, which I will then be *scripting* too. Phew!

Paul_Cornell: … And Action Comics starring Superman will begin after the Lex plot has come to the end it was always supposed to. Guys!

Color me and at least half of the MC staff completely stoked.
