When Pendleton Ward’s seminal series Adventure Time made it out of forwarded YouTube link limbo (note: no longer available on YouTube, but available on Vimeo) and launched into a Cartoon Network series, there was much celebration. When that cartoon became a comic book at BOOM! Studios, there was even more celebration. Now, before his next venture is even released, it looks like his new series Bravest Warriors is also going to be getting a BOOM! Studios comic book. Queue celebration.

So for those unaware, what is Bravest Warriors? Bravest Warriors is a new online cartoon created by Pendleton Ward about four teenage heroes-for-hire who explore the galaxy and save aliens using the “power of their emotions.” It will be uploaded online exclusively at the Frederator Studios YouTube channel under the “Cartoon Hangover” banner for your home enjoyment.

As far as the comic goes, the book will be written by Joey Comeau with art by Mike Holmes, featuring covers by Tyson Hesse. The first issue will also come with covers by Tyson Hesse and Jim Rugg. There is currently no plot synopsis, but look for the comic in October.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
