While we may or may not see the release of Teen Titans: Game later this year, it looks like we will be seeing something just as good – if not better!

Recently announced within DC’s June 2011 solicits, the New Teen Titans will be seeing a home in a brand new 400+ page hardcover, which will be reprinting the legendary run by the creative team of Marv Wolfman and George Perez. If there was ever a moment to clap your hands and say yeah, now would be the time. While the attached image is the one that came with the solicit, I would think it’s safe to assume that the cover for the book will probably be redone, perhaps by Perez even? One can certainly dream! And while it isn’t noted how many total volumes this set of omnibi will be, here are the deets on the first one:

THE NEW TEEN TITANS OMNIBUS VOL. 1 HC
Written by MARV WOLFMAN
Art by GEORGE PEREZ, CURT SWAN, ROMEO TANGHAL and others
Cover by GEORGE PEREZ
In 1980, writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez introduced a timeless team including Robin, Kid Flash, Wonder Girl, Cyborg, Changeling, Raven and Starfire — young heroes with great powers and strong personalities who learned their way in the world through the strength of their friendship and the adventures they shared.
This first omnibus edition collects the team’s debut in DC COMICS PRESENTS #26, plus the first sixteen issues of their smash-hit monthly series, including the first appearances of foes including Deathstroke and Trigon, as well as a confrontation with The Justice League of America.
On sale AUGUST 24 – 464 pg, FC, $75.00 US

One can only hope that a later volume will reprint the Uncanny X-Men crossover! Either way, pre-orders are already available on Amazon for 37% off cover price!

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
