Following up the hit “LP,” one of my personal favorite issues of the year, Curt Pires is bringing his particular brand of weirdness over to the digital realm held by Monkeybrain, alongside artist Dalton Rose of “Sacrifice” and letterer Ryan Ferrier, as announced in an interview over at Robot 6.
Starring the inventor of the titular instrument Léon Theremin, the book is a spy/thriller following his exploits based on research Pires has done on the man, with Pires describing the story as being about “human history, invention, frequencies that change existence, and temporal espionage.” Well, I’m sold. Pires has already proven to be a rather strong storyteller with “LP,” a one-off also seemingly dedicated to music, so it’s safe to say that if you enjoyed that release as much as I did then you’ll find “Theremin” equally as exciting.
