Marvel has announced a series of one-shots and a five-issue mini-series focusing on the Ravencroft Institute in the aftermath of the “Absolute Carnage” event, coming in January 2020.

Written by Frank Tieri, who is currently working on the tie-ins “Absolute Carnage vs. Deadpool” and “Lethal Protectors,” the three one-shots will focus on stories of the reconstruction of the institute. Tieri declared in Marvel’s press release, “Well, apparently some jackass burnt Ravencroft down […] and seeing as that jackass is me, I guess it was also up to me to build it back up. That’s where ‘Ruins of Ravencroft’ comes in.”

“Ruins of Ravencroft: Carnage” #1 will show us the reconstruction efforts of the institute for the mentally insane villains, but there might be some secrets from the 1600s coming to the light. Next, in “Ruins of Ravencroft: Sabretooth” #1, the story of Ravencroft in the 1900s will be revealed, but some secrets of both heroes and villains will be uncovered too; and finally in “Ruins of Ravencroft: Dracula” #1, set in the World War II, Captain America will discover that the institute didn’t just focus on rehabilitation, and everything will be revealed, for better or worse.

And after all that, the mini-series “Ravencroft” will focus on John Jameson’s journey to redemption. We saw him struggle with his transformation into Man-Wolf in “Web of Venom: Cult of Carnage” #1, and finally losing his mind in “Absolute Carnage” #1, but is the Institute going to help with his redemption of will he loose his mind again?

The cover artist for the “Ruins of Ravencroft” one-shots is Gerardo Sandoval, and the cover artist for issue “1 of the mini-series is Gabriele Dell’Otto. The art team for each issue was not revealed yet, but you can read the solicits for each one-shot and “Ravencroft” issue #1 below.
