Following the conclusion of the ‘X of Swords’ crossover this week, Marvel have announced the next stage of Jonathan Hickman’s X-Men run, ‘Reign of X,’ which begins with all of the X-Men titles in December. The company released a montage by Mahmud Asrar, teasing what’s to come:
December’s previously solicited X-Men titles consist of:
– “Hellions” #7, by writer Zeb Wells and artist Stephen Segovia, “will explore the aftermath of the team’s brutal massacre in ‘X of Swords.'”
– “X-Factor” #5, by writer Leah Williams and artist David Baldeon, sees the group “continue to investigate mutant deaths and explore the complexities that come with resurrection.”
– “Marauders” #16 by writer Gerry Duggan and artist Stefano Caselli, in which “Kate Pryde and Emma Frost finally enact their long-awaited revenge on Sebastian Shaw.”
– “S.W.O.R.D.” #1 by writer Al Ewing and artist Valerie Schiti, where “mutantkind sets their sights on the galaxy and beyond.”
– “New Mutants” #14 by writer Vita Ayala and artist Rod Reis, “the beginning of a wild new era for your favorite young mutants” that will mark the return of an old foe.
– “Wolverine” #8, an oversized milestone issue (legacy #350), written by Benjamin Percy with art by Adam Kubert and Viktor Bogdanovic, which centers on a reunion with Maverick and Team X.
– “Excalibur” #16 by writer Tini Howard and artist Marcus To, where “the search for Captain Britain [gets] underway as Excalibur returns to Otherworld.”
– “X-Force” #15, by Ben Percy and artist Joshua Cassara, in which the group are forced interrogate one of their own.
– “X-Men” #16, written by Jonathan Hickman with art by Phil Noto, where Cyclops will make “a fateful decision regarding the future of the X-Men.”
