Marvel Comics have announced the flagship “X-Men” series will be relaunched this July with writer Gerry Duggan, artist Pepe Larraz, and colorist Marte Gracia. The series will see the X-Men, having reorganized for the first time since mutants settled on the island of Krakoa, returning to New York to protect the world, and champion their kind.

The new roster will consist of Cyclops, Marvel Girl (Jean Grey), Rogue, Wolverine (Laura Kinney), Synch, Sunfire, and Polaris. The team will make their debut during June’s ‘Hellfire Gala’ crossover, following a fan poll that determined Polaris (Magneto’s daughter) would be the final member of the line-up. Duggan said, “It’s my privilege and honor to be reteamed with Pepe Larraz as we throw beautiful and deadly threats at the X-Men,” and promised “every page from Pepe and Marte will blow your hair back.” Jonathan Hickman, who oversaw the creation of the X-Men’s current Krakoan era, and wrote the last volume of “X-Men,” will be writing another series launching in September.
The new “X-Men” #1 will release on July 7, with four connecting variant covers paying homage to the gatefold cover for the first issue of the 1991 run by Jim Lee:

The artists for the variants were Juann Cabal (who drew Professor X); Carmen Carnero (Marvel Girl); Peach Momoko (Sunfire); Iban Coello (Synch); R.B. Silva (Cyclops); Natacha Bustos (Wolverine); Patrick Gleaso (Rogue); and Joshua Cassara (Polaris).
