We’re only one issue into the book and already Uncanny Avengers is getting an updated. From the latest Marvel Next Big Thing livechat, as reported by CBR, writer Rick Remender revealed that with issue 5 of the series, three new members will be added to the roster: the newly returned Wasp, former Avenger Wonder Man and Sunfire.
Remender explained that each member will join for a reason with Wonder Man taking a publicist role with his experience in Hollywood and Wasp providing funding for the team and Sunfire embarking on a “samurai mission” with Wolverine. It was also revealed that the team will be residing in Avengers Mansion and will be revealed to the world as of issue 5.
The whole issue will be revealing the team, putting them out in front of the world and letting them do their business…almost immediately, it goes horribly wrong.
It was also revealed that artist Olivier Coipel will will provide the pencils for issue 5 in order to let regular series artist John Cassady to complete pencil for the second arc.
