This November, “Resident Alien” creators Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse are returning to Dark Horse for their sixth and final miniseries, ”Resident Alien: Your Ride’s Here.” Written by Hogan and drawn by Parkhouse, “Your Ride’s Here” will close out Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle’s story, with him reconciling his feelings toward best friend Asta, and learn of other aliens possibly stranded with him on Earth.

“Harry is caught, his greatest fears are realized, and someone’s definitely abducted,” editor Philip Simon says of the new volume. “You’ll find revelations and surprises in this volume that even I wasn’t expecting,” Parkhouse adds. “And make sure you catch the show… it’s gonna be a doozy!”

The adventures of the marooned alien Harry, posing as a small town doctor in Patience, Washington, were first serialized in the pages of “Dark Horse Presents” from October to December 2011. Those original “Resident Alien” shorts would be collected as part of a four-issue miniseries the following year. Four other minis would follow, and a TV series starring Alan Tudyk is now in production from Syfy.

The show was originally scheduled to premiere on Syfy this summer, however, delays have pushed that date back to late 2020/early 2021. And with “Your Ride’s Here’s” first of six issues arriving in November, there is a chance the two may run somewhat concurrently. “I’m so happy to be working on this final volume before our babies fly the nest and make their way in the big world of television,” Parkhouse says of the TV adaptation. “I’ll miss them all, except maybe Delbert.”

While “Your Ride’s Here” ends Harry’s arc, the creators hint this may not be the last time we see the town of Patience, or even Harry himself “It’s the finale to what the team has been referring to as ‘Harry’s First Arc’ — and we’ve been calling the upcoming volume 6 ‘the end of Harry’s First Arc’ since we were working on volume 3. There’s more to tell after this coming series, but there will be a strange ‘new status quo’ for Harry after ‘Your Ride’s Here.’”

“Resident Alien: Your Rides Here” #1 (of 6) will be available on November 11.
