Between Twitter and the CBR Forums, artist Riley Rossmo (Green Wake, Daken, Cowboy Ninja Viking) has announced his first foray into both writing and illustrating a book, entitled Rebel Blood.

The book will be a four-issue mini co-written by Alex Link published on the Image imprint Shadowline, as confirmed by Shadowline’s Marc Lombardi. With nothing more than an ominous teaser image promising brain-eating birds, Rossmo adds that the book is a “survival horror book inspired by Creepy, the Twilight Zone, I Am Legend and the Omega Man” with Rossmo himself both co-writing and handling pencils, inks and colors.

Rossmo is certainly quite awesome, so while it is fairly early for this book to be announced (it’s still three months away), if I were you I’d make a note in your iPhone and/or planner to keep your eyes peeled for the book come March of next year.

Matthew Meylikhov

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
