As we all know, there’s a “Daredevil” TV series coming on Netflix from Marvel, and everything we’ve seen has been awesome. Mostly, the cast has been, and with Charlie Cox, Rosario Dawson, Vincent D’onofrio, Elden Henson and more being featured, we can’t wait to see them all in action. Today at NYCC, they got a first look at what the show might look like in two images from the show featuring Cox as Matt Murdock and him as…stocking mask Daredevil, as well as concept art for that look from Marvel’s Joe Quesada. Not bad, not bad.
One question that has long driven fan speculation has been who exactly Dawson is playing. Is she White Tiger? Is she Elektra? Is she Echo? Well, the answer is none of the above. She’ll be playing Claire Temple, the one time wife of Bill “Killed by Ragnarok in Civil War Goliath” Foster and one time love interest of Luke Cage. She also was a doctor/nurse, and my best guess is she’ll be part of what connects the Luke Cage series to this one, taking a small role here and a bigger one in the Cage show. But that’s just a guess.
Either way, we’re pumped, and I like to see things like Cox admitting that he looks to the Bendis/Maleev stuff for inspiration. As if I could like the guy more! “Daredevil” is coming some time in the future. We’ll all be watching the living hell out of it.
