At ComicBook.com, Marvel have announced a new five-issue “Multiple Man” comic book, written by Matthew Rosenberg (“Phoenix Resurrection,” “New Mutants: Dead Souls”) and penciled by Andy MacDonald (“Justice League of America”). The comic will see Jamie Madrox finding himself unexpectedly alive after his death – and those of all his duplicates – in October 2016’s “Death of X” #1.

“Yeah, Jamie is very dead,” Rosenberg told ComicBook.com. “He was killed by the Terrigen Mists and all of his dupes died with him. But our book starts off with someone finding Jamie very not dead. But he is not long for this world. So the mystery of why he isn’t dead and how to save himself is a big driving force of the story.” The writer stated that while Madrox’s wife Layla Miller won’t be in the series, some of Madrox’s other “X-Factor” allies (whom Rosenberg is using in the upcoming “New Mutants” miniseries) will appear.

In other Marvel Comics news today, the company announced that the Cosmic Ghost Rider from the current “Thanos” comic (who’s actually Frank Castle) will star in a spin-off series. Co-creator Donny Cates will return to write the character’s book, but an artist has yet to be announced. Head on over to Newsarama for an exclusive teaser image.

“Multiple Man” #1 is out this July, and will come with covers from Marcos Martin (“Amazing Spider-Man,” “Daredevil”). The Cosmic Ghost Rider’s series will also arrive sometime this summer.
