Ross and Hitch Announce America’s Got Powers

Earlier today, Image Comics announced yet another A-List comic creator joining their ranks in 2012. After announcing that his ten year homestand at Marvel would be coming to an end last week, Bryan Hitch (Ultimates, Fantastic Four, Gorgeous Art 101) will be launching a brand new series alongside writer Jonathan Ross (Turf) amusingly called “America’s Got Powers” later this year. The concept is simple: young, up and coming Super Heroes will battle each other for dominance and a coveted seat at the table of that Earth’s #1 super team. If that concept doesn’t get you to chuckle a bit and pique your interest then you are starting the year as a grumpy guss.

It’s also worth noting that this is now the third announced project for Ross this year, following Golden Age with Tommy Lee Edwards and Home Run with David Lafuente. Given how solid of an outing Turf was, this bodes very well for fans of quality independent comics.
