Dan Didio was quick to confirm that Nicola Scott is working on something for DC, and James Robinson is no longer working on Hawkman with Philip Tan (he is, however, writing his Shade limited series, but that has been in the works for a while). Could the two be working on something together? According to Bleeding Cool, maybe.

…word from late night San Diego bar gossip is that [Scott’s] project is with James Robinson… and it’s the much puzzled over Justice Society of America.

So far it’s just a rumor, but the existence of the modified S.T.R.I.P.E. action figure seems to hint that the new JSA part is true — either that or we’ll be seeing a relaunched Stars and S.T.R.I.P.E. Either way, Robinson has background with these characters, and Scott would be an excellent fit, so it certainly wouldn’t be surprising were this rumor true. The big question is: how does the JSA fit into the DCnU, if the JLA is comprised of the world’s first superheroes? We’ll let you know if and when we find out more.
