Latino Review, a site that has somehow become the Bleeding Cool of comics movie rumors, is reporting that Sony has set its sights on making an Aunt May-centric film that, perhaps, is the “female-led Spider-Man spin-off” due in 2017.

Yes, you read that right. They want to make a movie about her:

Well, if you believe Latino Review, not quite. Instead, they want to adapt “Trouble,” a controversial (to say the least) Spider-Man story that involves a young Aunt May, written by Mark Millar and illustrated by Terry and Rachel Dodson. This could be a way to reboot the franchise, but it could also be a dumpster fire.

Stay tuned for more information as it becomes available.
