– Marvel has scheduled a big announcement about the future of their comics line for today Friday June 23th. “Marvel Legacy,” their next major development (that’s supposedly not a relaunch or crossover) will, in their words, affect every Marvel character, title and ongoing story. Long time absent aspects of the Marvel universe will return and its long and tangled history will be explored, revealing gems both the old and the new according to Axel Alonso, Marvel’s Editor in Chief. He promises that “Marvel Legacy” will both honor the great history of Marvel Comics and look boldly toward its future in equal measure.

– “Jem and the Holograms Infinite” #1 comes out next week and though “Silk” artist Stacy Lee drew half the issue as series artist, she had to depart the book. Jen Hickman takes over the art halfway through the bi-weekly event’s first issue and will illustrate #2 and #3. Hickman has colored “Feathers” by Jorge Corona published by Boom! Studios, filled in as artist on Image’s The Thing-esque horror series “Spread” #12 and drew a short story in the “Then It Was Dark” anthology for Image. She will be finishing the three issue mini-series with writer Kelly Thompson and colorist Sarah Stern

– Titan Comics will be giving three Bethesda video games the tie-in comic treatment. Tying into the game Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Titan’s “Wolfenstein” series will be from writer Dan Watters and artists Piotr Kowalski and Ronilson Freire and star the game’s hero, B.J. Blaskowicz, as he leads an uprising in Nazi-occupied America. “Dishonored: The Peerless Prince” will tie into the Dishonored 2’s downloadable content and will be written by Michael Moreci with art by Andrea Olimpieri and Mattia Iacono. Lastly, “The Evil Within” picks up immediately before the events of the recently announced second game as Detective Sebastian Castellanos recovers from the events of the first game. It will be written by Ryan O’Sullivan and illustrated by Damien Worm and Szymon Kudranski. All three are set to be published in September.

– Writers Kieron Gillen and Charles Soule joined ABC News yesterday to talk about their work on both volumes of Marvel’s “Darth Vader” comic. Be sure to check that out for an inside look at the Dark Lord’s series.

– Entertainment Weekly shared something interesting about Star Trek: Discovery yesterday. Get a look at one of the transporter rooms that will feature on the show, one of the earliest transporter rooms we’ve seen in the franchise’s timeline, but there’s a catch. The transporter room shown is of the USS Shenzou, captained by Michelle Yeoh’s Captain Philippa Georgiou, and not the Discovery. The Shenzou is an older model ship in the show so it’ll be interesting to see what Discovery’s looks like.

– Fox TV announced the premiere dates for this year’s fall line-up including Gotham, Gifted, and Lucifer. Gotham Season 4 begins September 28 in the 8pm time slot. Fox is holding the release of Lucifer Season 3 and the premiere of the new X-Men show, Gifted, until the following week, October 2.

– It’s never too early to begin the hype for next summer’s blockbusters as a new Jurassic Park movie, titled Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, will be on the way because according to this teaser poster that states: “Life finds a way.” The film is set for release in exactly one year’s time: June 22, 2018.
