Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– Marvel announced via Entertainment Weekly that there will be a new “Champions” series, presumably coming out some time after “Civil War II.” The series will feature Marvel’s teen heroes like Ms. Marvel, Nova, Miles Morales, Amadeus Cho, and Teenage Cyclops forming their own team. Tom Brevoort told EW that there’ll be tension with having Teen Cyclops on the team considering how the older version of the character is currently a fugitive leading his own band of mutants. Specifically Tom Brevoort said “It’s kind of like Kid Hitler showing up at the door.” Woof. Considering that Brevoort could have just said “It’s kind of like Kid Magneto” showing up at the door, he uh kind of whiffed it here. Oh yeah, and the comic’s being done by Mark Waid and Humberto Ramos.
– Marvel also announced via The Nerdist that there’ll be a new “Great Lakes Avengers” series by Zac Gorman and Will Robson. It looks pretty good and Squirrel Girl’s in it Brevoort said having her on the team is “kind of like Kid Joseph Kony showing up at the door” so I’m a little less excited.
– The CW is going to start streaming all of their shows on Netflix eight days after their respective finales. This is good news for fans of The Flash and Supergirl and amazing news for someone like me who’s going to stream all of Riverdale in a day.
– Julian Lewis has a role in Zack Snyder’s upcoming film/avant garde masterpiece Justice League. There’s no word yet on who the former Invictus star will play but I kind of hope it somehow ends up being Hawkman. Dude just looks like a Hawkman.
