Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Bryan Singer looooovesssss teasing things from “X-Men: Days of Future Past,” and now he tweeted an image of the Xavier School sign on the ground, presumably from a long ago battle. Very, very excited for this movie, and little things like that continue to make me all the more excited.
– “The Dark Knight Trilogy: Ultimate Collector’s Edition” is coming, and in it, there is a segment about Christian Bale’s audition for the character. In this video, they reveal – amongst other things – that Bale wore Val Kilmer’s Batman costume in his audition, that he had already basically realized the direction he wanted to go with the character before Christopher Nolan gave him guidance, and that Amy Adams played opposite of him in the screen test as Rachel Dawes. Totally awesome.
– Dennis Hopeless and Skottie Young on a project together? It was once meant to be, and based off the pages Young shared, I really hope it becomes real once again.
– China Mieville + Scrap Iron Man at Marvel? Not meant to be.
– Paul Pope’s poster to the Miami Book Fair International is awesome.
