Rumor is that Bryan Cranston of “Breaking Bad” fame has been confirmed to play Lex Luthor in the upcoming “Man of Steel” sequel that also, controversially, will also star Ben Affleck as Batman. This rumor stems from Cosmic Book News, a site that near as I can tell is wrong about as often as it is right, if not more on the former side. Personally, I’ll believe it as soon as the studio or Cranston himself confirms this. As of right now, it’s a great rumor that would be an exciting reality.

– Speaking of comic book movies, the first look at Michael Rooker as Yondu in the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy” was revealed, and I can’t tell if I love it or hate it. It’s like…60% hilarious and 40% awesome. I like the usage of practical effects, but holy crap, blue Michael Rooker is something that is hard to take seriously.

– Speaking of “Guardians of the Galaxy,” Kevin Feige shared a little bit about the cast and Lee Pace’s role as the main villain Ronan the Accuser. Comics Alliance covers it, and it’s worth a read.

– Want to see some awesome concept art for “Iron Man 3”? Of course you do. Check it out at Robot 6.

– Finally, Heat Vision analyzes Ben Affleck’s decision to take the role of Batman to figure out why exactly he said yes. It’s a good read, and I think kind of peels back some of the mystique and theorized illogic behind the decision
