Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Per screenwriter Drew Pearce, who wrote an adaptation of Marvel’s “Runaways” (originally from Brian K. Vaughan and Adrian Alphona), his adaptation likely isn’t coming any time soon. As his co-screenwriter of “Iron Man 3” Shane Black suggested, Marvel has a lot going on, and as long as the Avengers initiative is at the forefront (which I have to imagine will be for FOREVER), Pearce’s “Runaways” script likely won’t come to be. That said, Black did describe it as “one of the better screenplays sitting on a shelf somewhere,” which bodes well at least!
– Forever Evil: A.R.G.U.S., a rather tertiary tie-in to the DC villains event, finds itself with a new writer onboard just about a month before its arrival in shops. Previously announced with rising star writer Matt Kindt onboard, we now have the resurgent Sterling Gates telling the tale of Steve Trevor and a corps of other human BA’s that are being targeted by the Crime Syndicate of America. No reason was given for the switch, save for the usual of “DC be crazy.”
– Yesterday, Christopher Sebela shared a first look at Ryan Sook’s upcoming art for “Ghost” (which Sebela is co-writing with Kelly Sue DeConnick), and it is predictably awesome.
– Boom! started a fashion Tumblr, sharing what their highly fashionable employees are wearing, in case you’re still of the thought that comic folk aren’t styling AND profiling.
