Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.

– Happy “The Private Eye” day! The latest issue of Brian K. Vaughan and Marcos Martin’s brilliant online series dropped yesterday, and you should certainly not miss out on it. You have literally no reason to, after all, as you can pay nothing to acquire it.

But you shouldn’t, because it’s awesome and deserves your support.

– Bleeding Cool says that DC is launching a five years later story, with a weekly book coming out of it. Of course, that’s just the rumor, and anyone who could see the creative team knows it’s flimsy at best (as Greg Rucka confirmed). Do I think it’s possible they are flashing forward and having a weekly series? Sure. Do I think that’s the creative team involved? No way. More on this as we hear about it.

– Annie Wu is joining the art team of Hawkeye with next month’s issue #14 and Newsarama talks to her about joining the book, pizza dog, balancing work in two different fields, and more.

– Ohio will now have special license plates you can get with Superman’s logo on it, in honor of the origin of the story from Ohio natives Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster. Cue David Henderson moving there…now.

– In case you weren’t already picking it up, First Second is doing what they can to ensure that you’ll pick up Battling Boy from Paul Pope, and come on now, that should already be on your agenda.

– Last but not least, our party at NYCC on Friday night has changed locations. It’s now at Stitch NYC, and you should come support the Hero Initiative and hang out with cool Image creators and Multiversity staffers!
