Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email our team at rundown@multiversitycomics.com.

– The Ghostbusters reboot from Paul Feig and an all-female team has found its receptionist. Playing the Annie Potts role in the new film is Chris Hemsworth, better known as Marvel Studios’ Thor. This is a fun reversal and solid casting from what seems like an increasingly interesting film. Let’s just hope he adopts the heavy New York accent and that in the sequel he gets hot and heavy with the female equivalent of Rick Moranis.
– Bryce Dallas Howard has announced that she would love to play a Marvel character on screen and, specifically, would love to play Carol Danvers, aka Captain Marvel. Personally, I think Howard is a fine actress, and has a look that would translate quite well. Plus, she has some Marvel history, having played Gwen Stacy in the cinematic classic Spider-Man III.
– Proving once again that DC executives bookmark Multiversity, it appears that next season on The Flash, Barry Allen will have a new love interest. Wendy, described as ‘spunky, fun, and funny,’ doesn’t have a natural corollary in the comics, but CBR suggests that it might be either Wendy Harris of Superfriends fame, or a renamed Patty Spivot, one of Barry’s New 52 paramours.
– Speaking of CW TV shows, they will be represented en masse at San Diego Comic Con – and not just Arrow, The Flash, and Gotham returning to the convention. The animated Teen Titans Go! and Vixen, the debuting Supergirl, Legends of Tomorrow, and Lucifer will all get presentations as well.
– Speaking of Comic Con, Marvel Studios may not be there, but Star Wars will – some new footage would be a lovely summer surprise.
– While we’re in convention talk, let’s talk about Image Expo. Image has announced a number of Expo exclusives, as well as added Jason Aaron, Nicola Scott, Nick Dragotta, Kyle Higgins, and Alec Siegel to the guest list.
– IDW is launching the “The San Diego Comic Art Gallery,” which will first feature the work of Kevin Eastman. This sounds like a great idea, and gives me yet another reason to visit San Diego.
– Maybe it was the return of his bisexuality, or the incessant smoking, but DC has raised the rating of “Constantine: The Hellblazer” to ‘mature readers only‘ status.
– Humble Bundle has just announced a Jim Henson-centric bundle. This is worth it for “Tale of Sand” alone – pick it up while you can!
– Blur recently reunited and released their first album in over a decade – which also spawned a new comic. KongKee illustrated the book (called “Travel to Hong Kong with Blur”), which has been hidden throughout the world in cities where Blur is playing, and will be released via Blur’s website tomorrow.
– And, finally, the original Hellboy design by Mike Mignola has been given a Mondo statue, and CBR has the first look.
