Welcome back to The Rundown, our daily breakdown on comic news stories we missed from the previous day. Have a link to share? Email me at david@multiversitycomics.com.
– Happy The Private Eye Eve(ish)! The Panel Syndicate crew is releasing a new issue any day now, and to celebrate, Brian K. Vaughan will be taking over their Twitter all day on Wednesday, Oct. 9. Now you can ask him all of the important questions you’ve always wondered, like, “how often do people misspell your last name?” and “will you read my college thesis?” It shall be a grand experience, no doubt.
– John Jackson Miller over at Comichron has an in-depth look at September’s huge sales month, and as per usual, you should run not walk over there to read it if you’re interested in industry performance. He’s the best at analyzing the numbers, and this month in particular with Villains Month is deserving of analysis.
– The Art of Charlie Adlard, the artist of The Walking Dead, is premiering at NYCC and it looks to be an absolutely stunning package. Certainly befitting the work, with a gorgeous slipcase designed by our boy Tim Daniel. If you’re lucky enough to be in New York when it debuts, Charlie will be signing copies on Saturday from 11 am to noon at Pillars 37. Check it out.
– Speaking of endeavors like Charlie’s, The Art of Jock is coming from Dynamite Entertainment, and holy crap, are we getting luck with that one.
– Phillip Bond’s cover to Kick-Ass 3 #5 is pretty damn amazing.
