– Diamond continued their roll out of Free Comic Book Day releases, announcing the Silver-level titles. Of most interest is Marvel’s “Captain America” #1 – while this may simply be a reprint, perhaps this is Marvel’s chance to get Steve Rogers back in the red, white, and blue before Captain America: Civil War opens the night before FCBD. DC’s title, like its Gold-level title, is yet to be announced. Some other silver-level books are “Strawberry Shortcake” #0 from IDW, “One Punch Man/My Hero Academia” Sampler from Viz, and “Oddly Normal” Chapter One from Image.

Fantastic Four and Creed star Michael B. Jordan is co-creating an ‘action-spy’ book at Dark Horse. The talent level involved is pretty incredible actually: the series, titled “North,” will be co-written by Nathan Edmonson, and will feature art by Denys Cowan, Bill Sienkiewicz and Bettie Breitweiser. Presumably, the series will be about a special ops soldier recruited and given special powers to become a ‘super spy,’ as the news item suggests, and not a comics adaptation of the Elijah Wood/Rob Reiner joint.

– DC TV cast a bunch of new folks today: over on The Flash, we’re going to be seeing both Eliza Harmon (a creation of LexCorp giving ‘normal’ people superpowers in “52”) and Geomancer, a Geoff Johns creation from his “JSA” days. Also announced was that White Martians will be making their way to Supergirl, which makes a lot of sense, give what has happened on the show lately (no spoilers, folks).

– Chip Zdarsky hints that, perhaps, the worlds of “Kaptara” and “Sex Criminals” will be crossing over. That noise you hear is boners popping worldwide.

– You bojos! You didn’t hear that “Back to the Future” is now an ongoing at IDW?

– And, finally, check out these sweet Legends of Tomorrow character posters. Interesting how they credit Martin Stein aside from Firestorm, eh?
