Sure, this is a quick one-off news story, just like his appearance on the book at least appears to just be one issue, but man, we dig the guy’s work. Ryan Browne, the creator of web comics God Hates Astronauts and Blast Furnace as well as the artist from IDW’s Smoke and Mirrors, will be providing art for issue #10 of Image’s The Manhattan Projects.

Given that we’re huge fans of the book (as you can see each month in our column Multiversity Projections) and his work, it’s to be assumed we’d be excited. It helps a lot though that Browne is a perfect fit for the tone and style of the book, and if anyone was going to take over for artist Nick Pitarra for one issue, we’re glad it’s Browne.

Check out the solicit below, and look for a preview of the art some time in the future.
