Say Hello To American Panther

Premiering over at CBR, the above image comes from the Marvel camp of what is assumed to be T’Challa’s new identity as a result of something to do with Fear Itself. While no additional information is given, the above image by series artist Francesco Francavilla is fairly interesting. Given T’Challa’s strong roots in his cultural heritage, it seems a tad … off that he would just strap on some American stripes and stars. Is it possible that someone else is under there? Or is this just T’Challa giving up on Wakanda now that he isn’t regent and there is no more vibranium?

Look forward to more in upcoming issues of Black Panther: Man Without Fear. Assumedly, anyway.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
