It’s a big year for Superman. We’ve got Man Of Steel in June and now we’ve got the announcment from USA Today that Jim Lee and Scott Snyder’s secretive Superman series will also be debuting in June. June 12, specifically, the Wednesday just before Man Of Steel. The series also finally has a title: “Superman Unchained”.
Hear that? That’s the sound of a million Quentin Tarantino jokes hitting the internet at once.
Now, you might remember that I talked to Snyder at NYCC last year and he told us a little of what we could expect from the book. And the answers don’t seem to have changed much. The book is going to focus on what humanises a man with so much power.
With Snyder and Lee on a book like that, what could go wrong? This might just be what makes Superman in the New 52. “Superman: Unchained” debuts June 12 and for more info, check out USA Today.
