As a follow-up to Fear Itself, Marvel will be releasing a second mini-series to wrap-up some emotional loose ends of the event (think of it as the Ultimate Fallout to Fear Itself’s Death of Ultimate Spider-Man, I suppose). There isn’t a lot of information about it yet, but it’s set to debut in October and is described by Diamond as,

“a series that shows readers what’s in store for their favorite characters in the wake of the Fear Itself event. THE FEARLESS #1 is a new twice-monthly series featuring the legendary writing team of Matt Fraction, Cullen Bunn, and Chris Yost and acclaimed artists Mark Bagley and Paul Pelletier. Anyone that enjoyed Fear Itself should be interested in finding out how Captain America, the Avengers, and other characters from all across the Marvel Universe deal with the aftermath.”

It’s quite an impressive team to have on the book, and the cover seems to imply that the hammers might stick around on Earth after their use is over (i.e. the good guys win), but whether or not the cover is a metaphor or something to be taken literal is unknown as of now.

We’ll have more on this for you as we get it.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
