SDCC ’11: Marvel Teases Something About Spider-Man, Kane, And Burning

At the end of the Spider-Man panel at SDCC, a young lady asked about the death and resurrection of Kane from the Grim Hunt story arc. Stephen Wacker gave her Amazing Spider-Man #666 as a prize for asking the best question and said, “remember that scene coming up.” Then they showed a mysterious image of a hood with the Spidey logo on it – similar to Ben Reilley’s? – and ended the panel.

What this means, we have no idea – but given the surrounding context, we’d guess: CLONES?! Oh no, not again! And remember kids, it’s the Jackal who is responsible for Spider-Island – remember what else he did to Spidey? Yeah. That whole Clone Saga thing. Exactly.

Once upon a time, Matthew Meylikhov became the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Multiversity Comics, where he was known for his beard and fondness for cats. Then he became only one of those things. Now, if you listen really carefully at night, you may still hear from whispers on the wind a faint voice saying, "X-Men Origins: Wolverine is not as bad as everyone says it issss."
